Nicolas Cage - $20 Million
When you think of celebrities who splurge, it's hard not to think of Nicolas Cage. He bought his yacht, the Sarita, for a cool $20 million. However, because of his financial troubles, he's had to sell the Sarita, although he reportedly may have made a profit on it. After he sold the yacht, it was listed for more than he paid for it. The Sarita is a beautiful boat packed with luxury features.
It has a luxurious dining room that features carved wooden features, along with tons of deck space, especially for a boat that's her size. There's even a hot tub on one of the upper decks.
Johnny Depp - $12 Million
Considering actor Johhny Depp owns his own personal island, it's not that surprising that he owns a yacht, as well (how else would he get to the island?). The boat's name is the Vajoliroja, and it's a bit more old-school than some of the other yachts on this list. Depp reportedly paid around $12 million for it, and it was built in 2001 and made to harken back to the luxury yachts of the 1930s.
As you might imagine, Depp used to spend a lot of time on the boat between shooting movies, but these days, the yacht can be chartered by anyone, if you have around $130,000 to blow on a week's vacation.
Ellen DeGeneres - $100 Million
Ellen DeGeneres tries to keep a lot of her private life private, so we aren't entirely sure what the name of her yacht is. However, Majorca Daily Bulletin reported in 2023 that the boat was worth around $100 million. Considering that DeGeneres is one of the most successful people in showbusiness, that price tracks. Not much is known about the boat itself, but it does feature a grand piano, among other luxurious features.
We also know that DeGeneres used to use it to host her celebrity friends all of the time, but it's not entirely clear if the superyacht is still used as much.
Bill Gates - $644 Million
Bill Gates is known for both known for being one of the richest people in the world and for his philanthropy, so it made sense when it came out that he'd purchased a yacht that was supposed to run off hydropower. The $644 million Sinot was going to be the first of its kind, and it came with an eye-watering price tag. However, it turned out that all of it was just rumors.
Gates hadn't ordered the Sinot, but the company behind the boat is still planning on building it, although it's not entirely clear who the buyer is going to be.
Jackie Chan - $10 Million
It might come as a surprise for some, but actor Jackie Chan actually has two mega yachts. His latest is named the Jinlong, and it was officially handed over in 2019. Chan reportedly paid around $10 million for it. Besides that, there isn't a whole lot that we know about the yacht. The company who built it says that it's powered by an MTU 16V 2000m 84 engine and can reach speeds of up to 21 knots.
It's said to feature its own gym, along with a beach club, and tons of other cool features. It can also travel around 3,000 nautical miles in a single trip.
Michael Jordan - $80 Million
The best part about owning a boat is that you get to name it whatever you want, and Michael Jordan might just have one of the best boat names on this list. His yacht is named Mr. Terrble, and it cost him around $80 million when he bought it. Of course, that's nothing considering his huge success, both on the court and in the world of business. The yacht reportedly has its own basketball court.
But that's not all it has. The boat features a gym, jacuzzi, bar, cabins for eight, and a ton of more amenities that make it feel more like a mansion than a boat.
Paris Hilton - $30 Million
The Galaxy might just be the perfect name for a yacht owned by celebrity DJ and business mogul Paris Hilton. It cost her around $30 million, but Hilton is always posting photos of her and her friends on the boat. Unlike some other celebrities on this list, Hilton is always spotted out partying on her yacht and actually getting some use out of it, instead of just letting it sit at the dock.
She and the Galaxy have been spotted in some of Europe's most iconic party cities, including Ibiza, Spain. Hilton reportedly charges around $30,000 an hour to DJ, so she can afford to cruise for however long she wants.
Ben Affleck - $85,000 A Week
Okay, so this isn't technically Ben Affleck's yacht, but it's still a really pricey boat. The Asolare is a giant sailing boat/yacht that Affleck was recently spotted aboard while filming a new movie. The Asolare reportedly cost around $85,000 to rent for just one week. Some of that may have been due to the owners upcharging the film producers, but that's still a lot of money to rent a boat for a week.
It's not entirely clear what amenities the boat offers. While it's probably not as many as most of the true yachts on this list, we're sure the cabins and rooms are luxurious.
Steven Spielberg - $150 Million
Megastar director Steven Spielberg often sets sail and hosts guests on his superyacht, the Seven Seas. The yacht cost him around $150 million, and it's one of the premier boats on the ocean. Knowing Spielberg's meticulous eye for detail, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that he helped design the ship himself, opting for an elegant wood interior using some of the finest types of wood available.
As lavish as the Seven Seas is, he reportedly plans to build an even larger yacht. Those with the money can rent this one out for around a million per month.
Eva Longoria - $36,000 A Week
This yacht didn't belong to Eva Longoria when she was spotted on it in 2019, but she still paid around $36,000 a week to rent it. She chartered the VIP One to throw a party for her employees, which sounds like a pretty cool boss move. The VIP One was built back in 2000, but it's since been refitted, and now just about anyone can rent it for personal parties.
Of course, you need to have enough money to be able to blow on renting a yacht, but it supposedly sleeps around seven or more guests and comes with a lot of amenities.
Kate Hudson - $500 Million To $1.5 Billion
The Eclipse is the name of a superyacht owned by Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich. Kate Hudson and a couple of other stars have been spotted partying on the yacht in the past. However, it's unclear just how much the Eclipse was purchased for. We do know that it's one of the most expensive superyachts in the world and that it reportedly contains a ton of features you'd only find on a yacht this expensive.
There's an indoor pool, along with interior rooms that are more spacious than what you'd find in many celebrity homes. The Eclipse was once the largest and priciest yacht int he world, but now it's the second.
Bono - $11.5 Million
The Cyan is a superyacht with all of the musical features you'd expect someone like Bono to have on their ship. There's reportedly a grand piano, not inside the yacht, but on the deck, along with a custom sound system he helped design that runs throughout the boat. Of course, you also have your usual superyacht amenities, like multiple hot tubs and jet skis that can be found throughout the ship.
In addition, Bono reportedly picked out the exterior color of the hull. The yacht only set him back around $11.5 million, which sounds like a steal compared to some of the other yachts on this list.
Tiger Woods - $20 Million
Nothing says "stay away from my boat," like naming it Privacy. The yacht cost golf legend Tiger Woods around $20 million, which was probably just chump change after all of those wins and sponsorships. The Privacy serves as Woods's home away from home when he's out on tour, and he even sails it to his competitions when he can. However, all of that sailing doesn't come cheap when you own a superyacht.
Woods pays around $2 million a year just to keep the Privacy operational, but that's a small price when you own one of the most expensive pleasure boats in the world.
David Beckham - $4 Million
Considering how much David Beckham is worth, the $4 million he paid for the Seafair isn't all that much. The yacht itself also isn't super large, at least not by celebrity yacht standards. However, it does house a pretty impressive art gallery onboard, and Beckham and his wife have spent millions renovating and updating the yacht throughout the years. The Seafair also has a really distinctive look that sets it apart from other yachts.
The yacht also has a gym, which makes sense considering Beckham's sports background. The couple often hosts others on the boat for celebrations and parties. It can accommodate around 16 people.
Oprah - $300 Million
Trending is the perfect name for a superyacht owned by none other than Oprah herself. The yacht cost around $300 million when Oprah first purchased it, and it's since been refitted. It has multiple bars, lounges, a 10-person hot tub, a sky lounge, and jet skis. It can also host around 12 guests while still accommodating 10 crew members. No expense was spared when the Trending was built, and it shows.
You can actually charter out the Trending for yourself but expect to pay around $210,000 if you want to live like Oprah for a week. It actually might be worth it though.
Brad Pitt - $7 Million
Like Tiger Woods, Brad Pitt enjoys his privacy. He reportedly had a jamming device installed on the Ghost II, which is his $7 million yacht. The device could be switched off and on, and it prevented people from taking photos if they got within a certain distance of the vessel. The yacht itself is around 120 feet, which is larger than most boats out there but still relatively moderately sized when you're talking about celebrity yachts.
When he was still with Angelina Jolie, the two often took the yacht out with their children. These days, the yacht can be chartered by those wealthy enough to afford to spend thousands of dollars for a weeks-long getaway.
Elton John - $26 Million
You just knew that Elton John's superyacht was going to come in bright white. The Wabi Sabi cost some $26 million, and John helped design the boat himself. The Wabi Sabi was built by a company called Westport, which builds custom yachts for a lot of superstars. It was designed to be able to travel up to 4,000 nautical miles, and to be able to go to some of the most remote places you can sail.
It housed its own gym and jacuzzi, along with plenty of communal spaces. It could also reportedly host around 18 guests. However, the boat was sold to another owner not too long ago.
Giorgio Armani - $60 Million
When you think of Giorgio Armani, you think of luxury, and his yacht, the Main, is all about luxury. The yacht has a distinctive and sleek black hull. Armani reportedly helped design the Main, and the interior looks just as sleek and modern as the exterior. There's a lounge area complete with a bar on one of the back decks. The Main can host 12 to 14 guests, not including crew members.
Unlike some of the other yachts on this list, the Main cannot be chartered since we imagine Armani probably uses the yacht quite often, as is the life of one of the most successful designers in the world.
Mariah Carey - $17.6 Million
The Capri is Mariah Carey's $17.6 million home away from home. Carey reportedly went to great lengths to make the yacht feel like home, and it houses a library filled with some of her favorite books, along with a no-expense spared master bedroom. Like many yachts on this list, the Capri comes with its own chef, who caters to Carey's notoriously picky tastes, and she and her friends can often be seen taking pleasure cruises on the boat.
It costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to maintain the Capri for a year, so it's no wonder that Carey wants to get the most out of the yacht.
Beyonce - $283 Million
This yacht doesn't technically belong to Beyonce, but she is often seen on it. It's called the Kismet, and it belongs to someone named Shahid Khan, a billionaire who often hosts Beyonce and Jay-Z on the Kismet for lavish parties. The yacht is one of the most expensive in the world, and it has its own garden and outdoor fireplace, along with all the other stuff you'd expect aboard a superyacht of this size.
The yacht was sold only a year or so ago, and the new owner, Eric Schmidt, renamed it the Whisper. Schmidt is probably best known as the former CEO of tech giant, Google.
Justin Bieber - $120 Million
The Ecstasea is a huge superyacht that Justin Bieber paid around $120 million for. The ship is so large that it has two helicopter decks, along with tons of other features. Among these, there is a personal masseuse and day spa, and there is enough room to accommodate 15 guests and 25 crew members. The interior is a bit more contemporary in design, but it does feature modern art.
As you might expect, Bieber has been spotted partying on the yacht plenty of times, usually with other celebrity friends and in places like off the coast of Spain or Italy.
Neil Young - $200 Million
There are plenty of yachts with character on this list, but nothing like Neil Young's W.N. Ragland. The ship was built over a century ago, and Young spent around three decades working to refit it. The W.N. Ragland was also the topic of many lyrics in his songs. The vessel was originally built in order to transport granite, and some of the few lucky enough to tour it have said the ship feels rugged, but charming at the same time.
The interior shelving, walls, and furniture are all made from longleaf pine, and everything has a rustic look to it. Of course, the tan sails are meant to stay true to the sails it would've flown when still a working ship.
Eric Clapton - $10 Million
Eric Clapton is, without a doubt, one of the most successful musicians to ever do it. His yacht, Va Bene, is a testament to that, (as is the fact that he owns some of the most expensive guitars in the world). The $10 million Va Bene was originally built back in the 1990s, but it's since been refitted, and Clapton has added his own touches to the ship, including a collection of jet skis.
Clapton made sure that all of his friends would be able to join him on the yacht, which could host around 25 guests. The interior is also exceedingly spacious and offers great views of the ocean.
Tommy Hilfiger - $45 Million
Fashion mogul Tommy Hilfiger paid roughly $45 million for his superyacht, the Flag. The ship carries his brand's signature logo across the top, along with its iconic red and blue lines running across the middle section. The interior is just as chic and stylish as you'd expect from a yacht owned by Hilfiger, with wood paneling throughout all of the rooms, and colors and patterns that remind you of the sea.
It's also equipped with jetskis and a large jacuzzi. The Flag can be yours for a week for only around $378,000 euros, which might make it one of the most expensive yachts to charter on this list.
J. K. Rowling - $19.2 Million
The Amphitrite has had some pretty famous owners, and we can't blame them. This $19.2 million yacht looks gorgeous and distinct from a lot of the other yachts on this list. However, J.K. Rowling only owned the ship for about a year before deciding to sell it to another buyer. As you may have guessed from the wood trim on the outsides, the yacht was inspired by luxury vessels from the early 20th century.
The ship was built in 2001, although it has since been refitted, and reportedly, the interior is much more modern than the exterior would have you guess. The view from he master bedroom is also supposed to be amazing.
Simon Cowell - $75 Million
Simon Cowell's megayacht, the Slipstream, set him back around $75 million, which is only a small portion of his fortune. The celebrity is one of the best in the world when it comes to finding talent, and he's brought multiple bands and dozens of acts to the U.S. He has good taste, and that extends to the Slipstream, which reportedly has its own foyer, complete with everything from a waiting area to a chandelier.
There are multiple bars, an elegantly spacious master bedroom, a hot tub, outdoor dining areas, a winding staircase, and a lot more. Not to mention, the sleek and modern black and grey paint scheme on the exterior.
Jerry Seinfeld - $25 Million
Jerry Seinfeld's yacht, Moka, is probably one of the greenest on this list, if not the most environmentally friendly ship listed here. She can stay anchored for much longer periods of time without having to use a generator. But that doesn't mean that it doesn't come equipped with plenty of flashy extras. There's an infinity pool, plus an outdoor bar and lounge area. Moka also comes with a couple of jet skis.
It can be rented for nearly $200,000 a week if you want to enjoy some fun in the sun with a group of friends. And you can rest easily knowing you're aboard an eco-friendly super yacht.
Cardi B - $14.72 Million
When it comes to sailing yachts, the Ganesh A might just be the most gorgeous on this list. Rapper Cardi B set sail on her a couple of years ago. The name comes from a Hindu deity, and it also inspired the interior, which features bright colors and patterns. The exterior of the yacht has minimal, clean lines that make it look as though it's cutting through that water when sailing.
The 98-foot ship was recently up for sale for the first time since being built, but it was unclear if the owners had found a buyer, although if not, it's only a matter of time.
Naomi Campbell - $29.66 Million
The Galaxy is a yacht that cost around $29.66 million when it was purchased. And although it doesn't belong to Naomi Campbell, she has been seen enjoying the sun aboard the vessel multiple times. It's actually owned by someone named John Grandel. The Galaxy featured an array of outdoor and indoor amenities, including around five different lounges for getting some sun. It was also built by one of the most premier yacht builders in the world, called Bennetti.
Today, the ship can be chartered for a pricey sum, and it even has its own Instagram page, showing off guests having a good time while chilling in the hot tub or enjoying a drink on deck.
Sean “Diddy” Combs - $35 Million
Sean "Diddy" Combs used to own the superyacht, the Maraya. The ship has ample room in many of its interior spaces, and it features a hot tub, its own tender, as well as multiple outdoor sunning, dining, and lounging areas. It even has its own dance floor and an elevator in case you get tired of walking up the stairs. The yacht has since been sold to another buyer. but it may have been for the best.
Considering, Combs's recent troubles, it's unclear if he would've been able to keep the yacht even if he did still own it today. It's unclear when the ship was sold.
Richard Branson - $6.6 Million
The Neckler is Richard Branson's $6.6 million dollar passion project. Well, it's one of his passion projects. He bought the boat for a relatively low sum, but he's spent a fortune renovating it, and he's even worn an award for his work outfitting the yacht and bringing it on par with some of the other yachts on this list. Branson is known as a sort of daredevil among billionaires, so it wouldn't be his boat without some alterations to make it glide through the water.
The Neckler can sail at around 20 knots, and he even chartered it out for a little while. Lucky guests could pay $60,000 to rent the boat and set sail a while back.
Elizabeth Taylor - $4.99 Million
Like Elizabeth Taylor, the Highlander has a pretty illustrious history. It was originally built in 1986 for the publisher of Forbes. When it was first built, it turned quite a few heads for its sleek and modern design. Even today, many think it's one of the classiest-looking yachts sailing the seas. Since Taylor purchased the ship, she's hosted all kinds of celebrities, from members of the royal family to Hollywood stars.
The interior is just as stunning as the exterior and features marbled bathrooms, beautiful wood paneling, a wine collection, and so much more. There's also a hot tub and plenty of outdoor communal areas to party with friends.
Steve Jobs's Family - $120 Million
The Venus was commissioned by Apple founder Steve Jobs before he passed away, and it's an absolutely stunning-looking yacht. The $120 million ship is sleek and modern, yet it also looks like it takes some design cues from luxury yachts built half a century or more ago. The Venus was actually supposed to look like an Apple product, and the entire ship is fitted with Apple hardware throughout, which shouldn't come as much of a surprise.
We only know that she sports Apple hardware because they've been spotted through the windows. However, nobody has ever actually been able to photograph what the rest of the ship looks like on the inside.
Billy Joel - $1.3 Million
Singer Billy Joel is no stranger to yachts. He's had many over the years, and he usually adds his own touches to nearly all of them. The same is true of the Vendetta, which cost him around $1.3 million to build. The pleasure boat is built for cruising, although it does sport a pretty luxurious cabin compared to other boats of the same size. It also features a pretty stylish paint job and design.
The wood accents on the exterior, along with the black hull, were added to make it look like the pleasure boats from the early 20th century. We have to say, the Vendetta does look like a classic.
George Clooney - $700 An Hour
So, this isn't actually a yacht owned by George Clooney, but it is the boat he and former President Obama sailed. The Air is a ship that was operating on Lake Como at the time the two met, and it reportedly cost them around $700 an hour for the ride. It's also worth mentioning that Clooney has a house on the lake, which is probably why the two chose to go out yachting here.
Not much is known about the ship itself that the two took, but we do know that Clooney apparently beat the former president at a game of basketball, thanks to an interview he did later.
Chrissy Teigen - $5.32 Million
Model Chrissy Teigen doesn't own this superyacht but has rented it for family vacations. The yacht is named the Element, and it's a stunning ship that can go as fast as 28 knots. It's spacious on the outside, as well as on the inside, and it comes equipped with a center console boat and its own jet skis. There's also a pool and plenty of sunning areas outside on the decks.
Many of its rooms look more like something you'd find in a luxury resort by the beach than on an actual boat. The Element can host around 12 people at a time.
Gigi Hadid - $6.6 Million
Model Gigi Hadid recently spent time aboard a yacht named Riva when she was in Italy. There, she set sail along the coast to explore and enjoy the sun. Hadid is often spotted in Italy touring the coastline and enjoying the company of friends while aboard different yachts. For this particular vacation, she was with her sister. However, in 2020, she spent her time with singer and performer Justin Bieber.
However, it isn't clear what ship the two took back in 2020 when they visited Italy. The Riva is much smaller than most of the yachts on this list and doesn't house many guests overnight.
James Packer - $200 Million
Australian businessman James Packer isn't as much of a household name as some on this list, but he does own one of the most expensive superyachts in the world. The Arctic P cost him $200 million, and if it looks more like a research vessel than a superyacht, that's because it once was. It can host 25 crew and 2 guests, and it was originally built all the way back in 1969.
However, almost everything about this boat has been renovated, and it know has an immaculate interior, along with multiple jet skis, boats of its own, and tons of different amenities.
Nicole Kidman - $4.5 Million
Nicole Kidman no longer owns the Hokulani, but when she did, everyone knew the ship from its very unique coloring. The $4.5 million yacht was regularly docked in Sydney, but Kidman sold it, probably because she ended up relocating to the U.S. Today, the yacht can be chartered and features tons of outdoor space, jet skis, and an interior designed for communal gatherings. There's also a lovely gathering area on one of its decks.
The Hokulani can host around 10 people, not including the crew, but you can expect to pay more than $120,000 if you want to charter it for yourself and a group of friends.
